On November 26, CZW “Węglozbyt” S.A. held a lecture and workshop on environmental engineering at the Construction and Energy School Complex in Ostrów Wielkopolski. Students from a technical school specializing in railway traffic engineering participated in the workshop.
The topic of the “Interesting Lessons” panel, led by CZW “Węglozbyt” S.A., was air pollution, including in the Ostrów County. During the session, students had the opportunity to conduct air quality measurements for PM10, PM2.5, and PM1 particulate matter. During the lesson, students learned about the main sources of pollution and methods for identifying and reducing threats. It was also noted that low-level emissions from household furnaces and vehicle traffic are the primary determinants of air pollution.
