In December, CZW “Węglozbyt” S.A. implemented further educational activities aimed at the region’s youngest residents. One element of the program was a meeting with students from the Kornel Makuszyński Primary School in Niedźwiedź, devoted to mining traditions.
During the classes, students learned about the history of mining, the importance of miners’ work, and the symbolism and customs associated with celebrating St. Barbara’s Day. The workshop format, engaging stories, and the opportunity to see mining insignia up close ensured the event was very well-received and highly engaged. The initiative aims to cultivate the region’s cultural heritage, foster respect for miners’ work, and pass on traditions to future generations.
